TAKE-AND-BAKE INSTRUCTIONS

Keep your pie frozen until ready to pre-heat oven. While your pie is sitting
out, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix 1 egg with 2 tbsp water to make
an egg wash for the top of your pie. Brush your pie generously with the egg
(traditional top crust only - not for crumble pie). Place your pie on a cookie
sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake it for 25 minutes, then
reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes
Oven times may vary, but you want to see a nice, deep golden crust and
fruit filling thickly bubbling from the vents. If the crust edges darken too
much before the filling bubbles through, cover with foil and continue baking.
Let your pie cool completely before cutting, or it will be runny.
Pies baked a day or two ahead taste great.
